Change of address.

In the next couple of weeks, posts on this blog will cease, and I will be splitting the posts between two new blogs. Links to the new blogs, Maria Lani Health and Maria Lani Beauty, are shown at the side of this page. At the moment they are merely copies of this blog, but that will change fairly soon. I would be delighted if anybody,...........anybody at all,........who has followed this blog during the past three or four years, will visit the Maria Lani blogs from time to time.

A new website www.marialani.com is being constructed as I type this post, and, given the speed at which I type, is likely to be finished before I am. It will give a great incite into the incredible amount of work that goes into producing Maria Lani products, as well as showing the communities that grow the main ingredients, coconuts, moringa, cacao, etc.

Hello Steve.
I like the look of your beauty products. Well done.
Does Maria Lani have policies in place where animal testing is concerned? I emailed you last year at Cocovida, but you were not able to convince me then. I hope you understand this is very important to many people.

Hi Tammy,

I got a few emails about animal testing whilst I was at Cocovida. I was always honest when I said I was unsure about some of the ingredients in one or two of the products. I sincerely believed then, as I do now, that none of the ingredients were tested on animals, but I was unable to confirm this 100%. (It is not always easy in The Philippines, as companies are sometimes loathe to divulge their suppliers.)

Maria Lani has applied to become a member of PETA's Cruelty-Free Company Program, as well as signing up for the BUAV campaign to end animal testing for cosmetics. I have to say, that at present we have not been approved by either of these organisations, as they have to check the company out. We fully understand this is very important, and accept that our applications may take time.

Finally, (I bet you wish you hadn't commented now), Cocovida is a signatory to The Campaign For Safe Cosmetics; something which I thought was very important. I have just signed on behalf of Maria Lani.

Even more finally. If I remember your email correctly, you said you wouldn't buy any of our beauty oils because I couldn't convince you that none of the ingredients were tested on animals. Please keep an eye on this blog. Hopefully, I can do better this time.

Take care,

Steve
